Linda Fargo, Bergdorf Goodman’s most influential buyer, Betty Halbreich, Bergdorf Goodman in-house personal shopper and David Hoey, creator of the store’s windows are all in this movie.

Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorf’s is about the glitz and glamour of the store, showcasing 175 interviews with designers and celebrities, and the roles played by the store’s fashion directors and the buyers. Bergdorf’s makes or breaks fashion designers such as Michael Kors who was discovered by fashion director Dawn Mello (Linda Fargo’s predecessor).

Bergdorf Goodman has been an icon for designers, a place for the upper echelon to shop, and a place for people to treat themselves. Bergdorfs opened in 1901 and is still run by descendants of the founding family.  This store has the most rich and famous clients in the world. The movie unfolds many untold stories such as Elizabeth Taylor ordered custom-made mink earmuffs for her entire Christmas list.  John Lennon and Yoko Ono once ordered 70 fur coats for their Christmas giving.
