Fishnet stalkings have long been an item of the night, worn by women of the night, known as a prostitute accessory. I am not in the prostitute industry and thus my goal is not to show you how to style fishnets for evening. Actually, I recommend fishnet tights for day, in the office, or just for casual! After viewing these pics, I am curious to see if you still believe that fishnets are for hookers…
Recently, I was packing for a trip and trying on various outfits. I had just slipped into a large knit sweater dress and was about to scour my drawers for some brownish leggings.
Suddenly, I couldn’t take my eyes off of these light brown Betsey Johnson fishnet stalkings. They had been sitting in my stocking drawer since 2006 with tags still attached…aka never worn! I still couldn’t take my eyes off of them while searching for the perfect pair of leggings, so I said “what the heck!” and slipped them on.
To my surprise, they were ridiculously soft and comfortable. Even more surprising, I liked them! They weren’t hookerish at all. Still in shock, I started trying on other sweater dresses and long knit sweaters and everything looked great with them!
To get my look, try these Cream and Sugar Fishnet Tights from Threadsence for only $10!
Moral: Fishnets are not for Hookers if they are in nude/cream/brown tones.
